Haldimand Bird Observatory is working within a small consortium of other organizations/individuals to help the Hurkmans get funding so that they can take the row-crop field right next to the banding area out of production and convert it into a tall grass prairie hay field – a big plus for insectivores and grassland birds. -DOL
