The insidious price of eating muffins. -N. Campbell

We had showers during the night and a southerly wind was blowing when I arrived – but it wasn’t raining so I opened a few of the nets. We managed to get a census in (another day of seeing a Great Egret!) and to catch a few birds before the skies opened and we had to run around to close up. Some of you are probably thinking, seeing the above picture, that I am getting a little pudgy – due to copious amounts of muffins. But let me assure you that that muscular effect was achieved by my putting on the first available rain jacket (an XXS) in order to close up nets.
