It was another good morning at the banding station. We processed 61 birds (43 new, 18 recaps). Once again, there was great diversity. Banding highlights included first for the fall WESTERN PALM WARBLER, HERMIT THRUSH, and a YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO. Other highlights included a singing YELLOW-THROATED VIREO, a GREAT EGRET, and Peter and the census crew had 4 OSPREY. With the help of Joanne, Peter, Faye and some of their friends, it made the day fly by. We also had a few new visitors to the station who got to enjoy the banding station activities.
